A trademark for the Buick Electra name was recently registered with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office. The trademark pertains to “motor land vehicles, namely, automobiles,” and although we concede that the registration of this name with our northerly neighbors is no confirmation that the US will be getting the vehicle, it is promising. If the Electra is offered there, it would make sense to sell it here too. Hopefully, this is the beginning of preliminary groundwork to bring the car to life and to do so here, because the Ultium-powered concept looked like it would be a lot of fun to drive.
