Every new Chevrolet, GMC, and 2020+ Buick vehicles comes with a 36 month/36,000-mile warranty as standard. For 2017-2019 model-year Buicks and all Cadillacs, this increases to 48 months or 50,000 miles. For most people who swap cars after a few years, this is more than enough coverage to give peace of mind while extended warranties tend to be expensive at dealerships.
However, if you plan on keeping your car for a long time and want extra protection, GM is now offering optional extended limited warranty plans for its entire model range. For Chevrolet, 2020+ Buick, and GMC vehicles, the new extended warranty lasts for 60 months or 60,000 miles, while 2017-2019 Buick, and Cadillac models are covered for 72 months or 70,000 miles.
